Chimney Liner Installation & Relining — Greater Seattle, WA
Our Process
What Installation Looks Like
Assess
Camera inspection of the existing flue to understand condition and dimensions.
Measure
Precise sizing based on appliance type, BTU output, and flue length.
Supply
We source the liner — stainless steel rated for the specific fuel type.
Install
Liner inserted from the top, connected to the appliance, and termination cap installed.
Inspect
Smoke or pressure test to verify the installation before we call it done.
Permit
We coordinate with local building departments when a permit is required.
Stainless Steel Flexible Liner
The right choice for gas inserts, gas stoves, and most retrofit applications. Flexible liner threads through the existing flue, can be installed without demolition, and is sized precisely for the appliance's BTU output.
Cast-in-Place Liner
Used for masonry restoration when the existing flue has significant damage. A poured-in-place process creates a smooth, insulated liner inside the existing chimney structure. Longer process, but the right solution for severely compromised flues.
Why a Liner Matters
Your chimney liner protects your home from heat and combustion gases. It's also required by code for gas appliances. Whether you need a new stainless steel flexible liner for a gas insert or a full cast-in-place restoration, we assess, measure, supply, and install — and handle permit coordination.
For gas appliances — including inserts, stoves, and furnaces — a properly sized and rated liner is a code requirement in Washington State. Many older homes have unlined or clay-lined flues that aren't rated for modern gas appliances.
Many Seattle-area homes built before 1960 have original clay flue liners that have reached or exceeded their service life — relining is the code-compliant path forward.
